Assurance is reassurance that a business is protected from risks that can affect its reputation or performance. As external auditors, we help companies and governments publish accurate financial accounts others can rely on.
Your year starts with an EY induction and then you’ll join teams, working on real client projects. By the end of the placement, you’ll have a head start in accountancy and big ideas about how you could be leading the client projects you’ve been part of. Plus, you’ll have learned a lot from your colleagues and growing network. Best of all, if you do a great job you may be offered a place on the Assurance graduate programme.
You’ll also have access to a broad suite of learning resources to develop your consulting and technical skills including our EY Badges programme which offers structured learning leading to accreditation in a range of of subject domains including data visualisation, innovation and blockchain.
What will you be doing:
– Getting to know our clients, their businesses and how they work
– Testing checks and balances to ensure they work how they are supposed to
– Analysing and testing the data that goes in to a financial statement to make sure it is true and fair
To be eligible to apply you must be studying for an honours degree (in any subject) that includes a one- year placement and you’re in your penultimate year of university.
