Pride has now been and gone for another year. The colourful parade attracted over 60,000 supporters on to Belfast’s streets, making it the largest Pride event Belfast has ever seen!
Businesses from across Northern Ireland, both big and small also got involved to show their support, with companies such as Danske Bank, EY and the BBC’s Pride network taking part in the parade, alongside the PSNI and the Gardai.
To celebrate the event, Radar and Abacus Talent Group staff sunk their teeth into cake for a cause at our Pride Bake Off, before getting out the beers to take part in our Pride Quiz, all in the name of raising funds for our chosen charity Cara-Friend.
The day was a huge success, with the company raising over £376!
As well as providing support at LGBT youth groups, Cara-Friend also offer one-to-one support for individuals, LGBTQ+ awareness training for professionals and volunteers working in a variety of different areas, community development, the LGBT Switchboard NI helpline service, and the LGBTQ+ Inclusive Schools Programme as well as a range of policy, advocacy and campaigning initiatives.
We know you’ll agree that this is a very worthy cause! If you would like more information on Cara-Friend, visit their website.
